need a maryland id card?

a hat for harold can help:

The A Hat For Harold council meets bi-weekly on Wednesdays at 4:30 pm in the Route 1 Day Resource Center [8826 Washington Blvd., 1st floor, Jessup, MD 20794]. Applicants must attend two council meetings before being eligible to receive a micro grant toward the cost of the Maryland ID card. Call 301-776-9900 for more information and for the date of the next council meeting.

Applicants will also learn what else they need when they visit the Maryland MVA [Motor Vehicle Administration] office near them. A Hat For Harold can help with the Maryland ID fee, but the applicant needs to visit the MVA to actually apply for and receive the ID card.

If you Need Assistance

Do you need a hot evening meal? Please come to Elizabeth House at 308 Gorman Avenue in Laurel, MD. We serve dinner from 6:00 to 7:30 pm every day of the year except Thanksgiving when area faith organizations provide that service. At the end of your evening meal, you can take a bag lunch with you for the next day.

If you have a home or apartment within the Laurel city limits, you can inquire about access to our food pantry for a limited number of bags of groceries once a month, depending on the size of your family. Individuals are eligible, too, as long as they reside in Laurel. To inquire about any of these services call our Help Line (240-547-9013), leave a message, and our Client Services coordinator will call or text you back.
